Services

The following services are provided to qualified seniors 60 years old and older living in Baker County. Some services are also available for disabled adults.

Congregate Meals

Eligible individuals share a meal and activities at the Senior Center; more than 10,000 congregate meals are served annually.

Home Delivered Meals

Daily, hot "Meals on Wheels" are delivered to eligible individuals unable to prepare or access their own meals; more than 12,000 meals are provided annually.

Homemaking

Help with house cleaning, laundry, special deep cleaning, and shopping assistance; more than 3,900 hours of cleaning assistance are provided annually.

Personal Care

Assistance with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, eating, and other activities of daily living; more than 2,000 hours of assistance provided annually.

Respite

Relief or rest for primary, full-time, un-paid caregivers for a specific period of time; more than 4,100 hours of support provided to caregivers annually.

Case Management

Assistance in identifying and locating available resources to help resolve problems or to meet needs.

Emergency Alert Response

Personal electronic alarm and monitoring service for frail elders and those who live alone.

Information & Referrals

Help with locating and accessing needed information and resources.

Recreation & Senior Center Activites

Planned events and activities including exercise. Yoga, Trivia, Line Dancing, Educational Speakers, Games, Arts and Crafts, Social Activities, and Trips.

Telephone Reassurance

Daily, periodic or occasional telephone communication with frail or home-bound clients to assure their safety and well being.

Transportation

Safe and dependable transportation for the elderly, disabled, and other transportation disadvantaged residents of Baker County for travel to medical appointments and essential errands.
