What can you do to help

Volunteers are alway greatly needed and appreciated here at the Baker COA. We have many areas needing Volunteers, such as:

  • Delivering Home Delivered Meals
  • Cleaning
  • Washing COA Vehicles
  • Beautify Senior Center Surroundings
  • Shredding
  • Answering Phones
  • Leading Activities

If you are interested in volunteering your time to help local seniors, please call (904) 259-2223 ext. 222. Assistance is currently needed in the following areas:

  • Telephone Reassurance: Make a daily telephone contact with a senior
  • Meal delivery: Drivers and "runners" needed for one to two hours daily for area routes. Mileage reimbursement is available.
  • Senior Center Activities: If you have a special gift or talent, you would like to share, please call. Opportunities exist for arts and crafts instruction, music performances, drama performances, and many other activities.

BCCOA is always in need of volunteers for a variety of interesting positions.

If you have a special talent with music, crafts or just plenty of compassion to live we would love to have you join our 'family'.

Volunteers do not get paid, not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless.
